Ten musicians who specialized in clarinet, trumpet, saxophone and horn were interviewed, addressing how the participants read the pitch height of the musical score, how they feedback the pitch height, and what kind of problems they had when playing the instruments. The results showed that several participants, both with AP and non-AP, reported that they could encode\nmusical pitch into written pitch ; encoding C into Do when playing piano, and encoding B♭ into Do when playing clarinet or trumpet. On the other hand, one participant with AP adhered to AP perception even when she played transposing instruments, and appealed that the difference between the pitch that actually sounded and the notated pitch was one of the most crucial obstacles in learning transposing instruments.\nAlthough the way of encoding musical pitch varies among the participants, the results showed that the possession of AP does not always limit the way of encoding musical pitch.
