However, it is possible that GMOs, including genetically modified (GM) foods, may affect the human body. Here, I study the legislative regulations that Japan should adopt concerning legal GMO issues, compare them with the approaches to GMOs by China, the EU and the US, and particularly emphasize the necessity for a strict labeling system of GMO foods.
