Results showed that women were more likely to receive support from friends than men. In addition, significant correlations were found between social support from families/friends and self-efficacy. However, it was found that each type of support given by family/friends did not significantly affect self-efficacy, which was different from the expected results. Therefore, the hypotheses were not supported in this study.
