| 内容記述 | 近年，日本には多くの外国人が旅行や仕事目的で入国してきている。今後，日本国内で日本人が外国人と共生してゆくことがますます求められるだろう。このような状況で，外国人に対して否定的なステレオタイプが形成・維持されることは，偏見や差別の温床となり望ましくない。本研究では，外国人が感謝の意を示すことで，日本人の外国人ステレオタイプが好転するかどうかを検討した。合計210人が実験に参加した。シナリオ実験の結果，感謝は外国人ステレオタイプイメージの1側面を好転させた。以上のことから，一人の外国人が感謝の意を示すことで，表出者自身の印象だけでなく，外国人ステレオタイプイメージ全体が変化する可能性があることが本研究によって示唆された。 Many foreign people recently come to Japan for business and travel. Moreover, increasingly more Japanese and foreign people are expected to live close together in the future. Therefore, it is not beneficial for Japanese people to develop or maintain negative stereotypes about foreign people. This study investigated if the expression of gratitude by foreigners, changes race stereotypes, especially the stereotypes about Chinese people, positively. The participants (N=210) took part in a scenario type experiment. The result showed that the expression of gratitude by Chinese people changed specific aspects of Japanese people’s negative stereotype about Chinese. It is suggested that expressing gratitude by foreigners change Japanese people’s impressions about foreign people and Japanese people’s stereotypical images about foreign people. |
