| 内容記述 | 本研究では髙橋（2013）の対人関係の問題に対する身近な他者への2 つの相談過程に基づいて，相談の失敗経験を「相談者の相談への期待と知覚された相談相手の反応の不一致経験」と操作的に定義し，相談の失敗経験と相談頻度および相談に対する態度との関連を検討した。女子学生101 名（平均年齢19.56±1.17 歳）から得られたデータを分析した結果，相談への期待が高いほど，また相談相手から「共感・受容」，「解決への示唆」をもらえたと知覚しているほど，相談相手を求める傾向が高いことが示された。一方で，相談相手から期待した反応が得られなかった場合も，相談相手を求める傾向が高いことが示された。これは当初期待した反応が相談相手から得られず，気持ちや問題の解消がもたらされないため，相談相手を求めるようになることが考えられる。また，この傾向は特に情緒的な支援を期待している場合に強いことが考えられる。 On the basis of the two consulting processes with familiar others for interpersonal problems identified by Takahashi （2013）, in this study we defined an unsuccessful consultation as “the experience of discrepancy between the participant’s expectations regarding the consultation and the perceived response from the consulted party,” and examined the relationship between a failed consultation with a peer and frequencies of/attitudes toward consultation with other peers. The results of a series of analyses using data from 101 female university students （mean age 19.56±1.17 years） showed that higher expectations when consulting peers and higher perceived empathy/quality of suggested solutions from the consulted peer increased participant’s tendency to consult peers. Furthermore, a failed consultation with one peer increased the tendency to consult other peers. If the initial peer consultation did not provide the expected response, unresolved feelings and problems could lead to further help-seeking behavior. The results also showed that this tendency increased when emotional support, rather than informational support, was expected. |
